There are a lot of good reasons for becoming vegan, vegetarian, or at least limiting your meat and animal product consumption and doing research into the producers' practices and sustainability

Seafarers

Some concerns about seafood (both wild and aquaculture) include:

habitat & ecosystem destruction or damage, overfishing & resource use, bycatch, animal welfare, and pollution/waste. The best policy is to limit seafood consumption and be very cognizant of how it was raised or caught.

Here are some resources for seafood; some accreditors, like the Marine Stewardship Council, have been criticized for lowering standards and conflict of interest, so do your research. The list below also includes websites with aquaculture accreditation and info on fishing & how to eat sustainably.
